The 8th China International College Students’ “Internet +” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held by more than 10 national ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (MOE). MOE has positioned the Competition as an important initiative to implement the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and to improve the quality of talent cultivation, as well as a crucial platform to promote innovation and entrepreneurship education reform in universities. Since the Competition in the Beijing zone started, a total of 15,000 projects have registered and more than 88,000 students have participated, both of which are record highs. Because of the large number of strong universities, the Competition in this zone has always been the most competitive, which in this respect is comparable to the nation-level competition.
In recent years, USTB has attached great importance to high-level innovation and entrepreneurship competitions. Led by USTB Communist Youth League Committee, Department of Academic Affairs, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Graduate School, and International Student Center together built an innovative “five assistance” education mechanism to help the talent cultivation work of USTB, which was also reported by the MOE. Next, USTB will actively prepare for the nation-level Competition, promote learning, teaching, research, and innovation through competitions, guide students to be trained and grow in the process of taking the contests, and continuously prepare first-class talents for the country.
