Precision medicine is the forefront of the development of medical science and technology in the world, and it is also an urgent research and breakthrough field in the construction of China's medical health system. The Institute of Precision Medicine and Health (IPMH), the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), founded in 2017, has eight research centers, including Ferid medicine research center (Beijing), Marshall precision medical treatment of gastric disease research center (Beijing), Dmitri precision medical treatment research center (Beijing), Joseph wearable sensors research center (Beijing), Robert drug research center (Beijing), accurate diagnostic medical research center (Beijing), Medical and health research center (Beijing), and Nanomedicine research center (Beijing).

The precision medicine and health research institute aims to carry out cutting-edge international research, form major original innovative achievements and transform them into applications, promote Beijing to become the national research center of precision medicine and health management, and promote the development of precision medicine. With the help of Beijing's abundant hospital resources and social capital, the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements in the field of precision medicine will be accelerated to drive the development of relevant industries.

Nobel laureate Dr. Ferid Murad was appointed the honorary President of the IPMH, and Nobel laureate Dr. Barry James Marshall was appointed the director of Marshall precision medical treatment of gastric disease research center (Beijing). The top scientist team of the IPMH also has  several very famous scientists including Dr. Robert Langer. Meanwhile, Beijing precision medicine and health research institute plans to employ Dr. Zhan Qimin, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, director of department of medicine, Peking University, and professor of Beijing Cancer Hospital, as the chairman of the academic committee, and will establish long-term cooperative relations with Beijing Cancer Hospital, Capital Medical University affiliated hospital and other municipal hospitals.
