USTB is committed to building itself into a high-level research-oriented university
which attaches importance to novel scientific research and promotes independent innovation.
The National Engineering Research Center of Flat Rolling Equipment was founded by the Ministry of Science and Technology at University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2009. It passed the acceptance with excellent performance in 2012. Aimed on the green and intelligent manufacturing in rolling process, the center transfers innovating solutions and key technologies to industries in multiple areas, such as the accurate measurement and control of product quality, digital factories and smart equipment, energy conservation and environmental protection. The center is affiliated with the Institute of Engineering Technology of USTB. More than 70 full-time technicians in mechanical, energy, environment, metallurgical, materials, control, instrument and other disciplines cooperate in the Double-First-Class.
